Whilst down at the in-laws for the day at the weekend for the first visit of the year and knowing that this place was less than 4 miles away was a draw too great to resist.
I had been waiting for my chance all day to drop it into the conversation, timing as they say is everything! Anyhow later that day i managed to interest my father-in-law to the extent that he suggested we take a drive over to take a look... Being 60 short and rotund and thus unable to gain access he decided to wait outside and keep watch
No wonder they named this place 'Cwm', cos thats what you do on numerous occaisions whilst exploring this site. I only had an hour so i basically just walked towards the biggest buildings on site, for company i had the pleasure of a Peregrine falcon that was using the conveyors as a vantage point as it called to it's young.

The former Cwm Colliery and Coking Works are located near Beddau in South
Wales and comprise a substantial industrial site, opened in 1957 and which has
been redundant since closure in 2002.
