Yeah car park mate, the rest is just the river

The Leeds Railway Undercroft (aka Dark Arches) were formed to build the then new Leeds Station straddling the river Aire and the Leeds and Liverpool canal and most of the rest of the arches used as car parking accessed from Dark Nevell Street.

A outline plan for a new southern entrance to Leeds Station is also on the cards;

Nice photos Paul.

More than on the cards, the project is currently on site. Those pontoons that Paul has photographed are the delivery points for construction materials that come from downstream where trucks offload at Bridge end / Water lane and transfer to service barge. The pontoons also have a floating office for pile guiding dive teams as the structure for the entrance descends into the river bed and requires underwater supervision.
