HISTORY
Not too much history on this but see below.
This building was originally the Municipal Technical College. It dates from 1877 with additions of 1899 and was designed by F W Waller of Waller and Son, Gloucester.
The building on Green Lane in Derby, currently owned by the University of Derby, first opened as a purpose-built school of art in 1877. Designers, metalsmiths, architects, printers, painters and decorators and a wide variety of artists have been studying there ever since.
The historic building was also until recently the home of the Metro Cinema.
THE EXPLORE
Visited on a sunny morning back in August with a non forum member after a tip off on entry from a friend.
