The Ditton Laboratory, a short distance from the research station, was opened in 1930 by the Empire Marketing Board as a part of Cambridge University's Low Temperature Research Station. The purpose of the laboratory was to carry out experiments on the shipping of fruit across the high seas, in order to extend its life over long, seaborne journeys. I am not sure when it was closed down, but when exploring i found a few letters about redundancy dating 1989, so i can only assume it was close to then.
This little gem has always been very close to my house so i decided to check it out. This is rally my first time exploring so the photos are not great.
This is the view from out front, a very nice looking building (this photo was taken from google)
Nice creepy looking hallways.
Always remember lab safety!
Maybe used for experiments.
I do not think that's meant to be there..
A cool looking phone box there.
I think this one speaks for its self!
The hoist.
Well that was my first ever exploration so go easy! Hope to do more in the future.
