Report - Five Ways Tower, Birmingham - April 2023

Five Ways Tower is a 23 floor abandoned tower in Five Ways Birmingham. It was constructed in 1979 and was eventually abandoned in 2005 due to sick building syndrome.

For a while, security has been on high for the tower, with our last visit having the entrance sealed up with wires and the previous attempt being the same, only security followed us and tried to find us. We escaped.

I'm not sure if the entrance is still wired up but if so, there is another entrance. You have to search and it's effort to get to it, but it's worth it. Here are some photos from all of my visits, 4 in total.

I've been monitoring this site for a year now. Successfully visited recently, the youtube popular route is still blocked but that's not the only way in. Various doors and walls have holes in them. Access comes and goes. If you enjoy a 3D puzzle then you'll be able to work it out.

Another thing I'd like to mention. The front door, if it's wide open - don't go for it. I believe it's a bait to catch anyone who takes it out, there's also a camera pointing directly at it.

All the entrances they know about are boarded up, but they missed some, keep looking even if you think it's not worth it.

It's well worth it, definitely go on a sunny day though the views are stunning on a good day, coming up to the perfect weather really

Been here a few times over the months. To anyone looking to travel here now I would advise against it, the security is a lot higher currently due to them starting to demolish bits of it. We scrambled for 2 hours trying to find a way in, but due to them fully demolishing the multi-story carparks there is no way. The only way would be the main door if it was opened with the right tools. It's a shame, was a lovely from the top at night.

Went there tonight security is there would advise too stay away as it’s a dog unit.
