Report - Five Ways Tower, Birmingham - May 2023

Five Ways Tower in Birmingham is a 23 floor abandoned office building that closed down due to sick building syndrome in 2005. More information in my previous threads, this is a sort of update about the building.

My past few visits to the tower have been filled with great effort, having to slip under and through fences and defy all efforts to stop us.

There is now a demolition sign outside the tower and all of the entrances (that security know of, or can be bothered to get to) are boarded up. I don't know how much longer we have with the tower until it goes but they're preparing to take it down soon assumedly.

If you've been wanting to explore the tower, you may lose the chance to soon. Hurry.

Here are some photos of my last visit with some friends, we played hide and seek which was good fun and a great possible send off mission for this spot. Enjoy.

Not that I've noticed really, only notable things are the boarded up entrances and the sign telling us about the demo. There is now a ladder to get to a window we use to get in, it's definitely new. Truly the end of an era if it goes.

Sounds like it likely still has a while yet, but then things could always accelerate quickly

Haven't seen this place for a long time lol, is the ladder at the top still totally fucked? I remember it being the sketchiest thing to get right to the top haha. Great pics, but please less selfies.

Yeah the ladder gets sketchier every time I've been, it's still holding on for now but it's close to giving out, only 3 bolts hold it I think

Was just there yesterday, its not good, dog units are looking at the two easiest entries, even then they are almost impossible to get into without being watched, the one spot in that i could find was a suicidal lean over an edge to grab a dodgey window frame
