POSTER INVITE

A few of us decided to meet up for a camping weekend and maybe do a bit of exploring while we are at it...
Myself, Madmax, Oxygen Thief, Snappel, Rookinella, Sick, Dweeb, Turkey, Explorette, Zippy, Raddog and some ladies... Met up at Fort Paull around lunchtime, set up cam and went and did RAF Holmpton.

After fish & chips on the seafront in Withersea, it was back to the campsite for some merryment in the Fort Bar...!!! Obviously... this went on for several hours and there are numerous funny stories to be told. Then a hungover Sunday morning, a full-cooked breakfast and we wondered around the Fort in the glorious sunshine.
Enjoy some of the shots of Fort Paull:
Our Campsite...
The group enjoying the view over the estuary...
One of the many WW2 guns on display...
Another...
...and a very large cannon
One for Dweeb...
The Berliner Train
Remember this sign Explorette?!
Numerous Military Vehicles
It even had tunnels...
And the star of the show...
The Beverley Blackburn
The only one left in the World
Parachutes inside the Beverley
...and the parachute line, in the top deck of the plane
What an absolutely fantastic weekend!!!
Thanks for everyone for coming... a big Happy Birthday to Rooks...
...and a massive thank you to our hosts at Fort Paull - A top bloke, who looked after us lunatics all weekend.

Again, like RAF Holmpton... this place needs visitors to survive.
So get yourself to Fort Paull as soon as you can. Its great on your own, as a group like us or even families. A top day out.
