OK I'll admit it I'm short of a bit of history. The last few decades is easily found out, ie the Kagan / Gannex episode. However the mill is a lot older than that and I'm struggling to find any information bar this...
If anyone can locate the early history it would be great to add it to this report.
It's coming down sharpish, and even though it's barely recognisable there's still some things worth seeing in there.
This dummy is in a different place in every picture I've seen of it...

Gannex Mill was known as Broad Lea when it was built in the late 1800s. It got its distinctive appearance in 1967 when the window surrounds, doors and roof were picked out with white paint.
When we bought it it had been manufacturing silk rather than wool which was rather unusual then.''
The Kagans bought the mill, known then as Broad Lea, in 1959 and sold it about 10 years ago
