Bit of a chance explore yesterday as we were walking round hoping to explore another building down next to Kelham Island.
George Barnsley & Sons Ltd specialised in tools for shoe makers and leather workers , but also manufactured edge tools such as pen knifes, scythes etc.
I have not managed to get an exact date for when the company was established, but they closed shop in the early 90`s.
Not a massive place by any means, but it was full of character.
