Hall place has a long history. The original owner was Thomas Champneis c1795, and then Sir John Wroth purchased it, which continued through the family and marriage until c1876. It later became developed into Hall Place Enterprise Centre. And was home to a Centre for Enterprise and Business Development for Canterbury Christ Church University , a gateway for business support and access to academic resources and training programmes for small businesses.

When we visited here you could easily tell what was the original building from that time through 16th to late 18th century, as the smell and extensive black mould and fixtures and fittings and structures style gave it away. In that part of the building I suggest face mask because the building rot smell is strong.

However, despite this, it had the typical excellent structural design that most our British old buildings have, well designed, lots of rooms, and something around every corner. Though to mention, the upper hallway floors in original building are a tad spongy, bit dodgy, but still accessible.

The newer extension of the building was desperately trashed (sighs) and one room flooded. A mountain of contents piled up in numerous area outside, but all in all, the floors are still accessible and easy to access.

The outbuildings are part of the original building with that gorgeous old brickwork and shed style.

Decent explore.
