Report - Harpur Hill Tunnel, Buxton - Sept 2012

Originally I was heading into a church but it was sealed up tighter than quire boy

So I headed over to the strange tunnel into Harpur Hill, Buxton

I have absolutely no history on what it is or what it could have been for but it's a decent little mooch

And finally I filmed the last 100 yards or so

I believe this tunnel is the air intake for the Hoffman kiln which was originally located at SK 06443 70871

Yeah I'd worked it out after finding out about the kiln

Must have missed this one..is it the tunnel on the hill to the left as you head down snake pass towards Buxton from macc ?
