Report - Headlands Hotel, Cornwall (March 2019)

Headlands Hotel
History:
the hotel closed in 2010. after 22 years of running the owners decided they wanted to sell up and retire (opened in 1988). since closure it has had many applications to be demolished and a new hotel built all of these so far have been turned away. Since closure it has been used in many scenes for Doc Martin (a tv series filmed locally).
Our Visit:
We pulled up right round the front after a drive through the beautiful hills leading up to the site. The fence around the front was practically pointless it covered the driveway entrance but could easily be walked round there are many ways in and we settled on getting in through a window round the side, the site isn’t huge so we only spent 30-40 minutes there due to the site not being very big and having bigger things to get onto. It was a good stop during the main journey. Easy access only issue being the upper floors had become weak and were rotting through fast.

Genuinely hurt my eyes a bit. Shame because it looks like a decent little place!

As above, they're well composed and in focus photos so they'll make a decent report.

Cheers man from now on HDR is banned from being well overused admittedly it is very much overused but you know how it is you end up carried away sometimes

Yeah I haven’t got the originals anymore so I might either have to go back and retake all the shots which isn’t great but not the end of the world or just learn from mistakes and move on. Either way I do appreciate the feedback from everyone
