The school closed at the end of the 2007 academic year (July) as all the pupils were transferred to the new Learning Zone on the site of Macclesfield College.
Dodgerat found this by accident the other week whilst lost in Macclesfield, which I'm quite ashamed of as it's virtually in my back yard. But what a find.
I had a quick recce earlier this week and was tempted to do the explore solo when I spotted how intact the place is. Although there is some significant damage to many of the windows the place has escaped the eye of the pikies leaving the place virtually untouched.
A top explore and one I will be returning to before it gets demolished to make way for a new housing development.

Who could resist a picture of the girls showers, teehee.
Although there was no sign of fire damage, the piano had obviously tried to escape.
Sadly, the actual vinyl was smashed...

A great place, go sooner rather than later, I don't think it's long for this world!!
