My ex always pestered me to take her exploring when we were together. Now we've split up and I dont mind as much if she gets herself injured I took her for a wander around the old Refactory at Loxley.
This was my second visit to the site. The last time I went there an airsoft game had just finished. This time the perimiter fence was in a bad state of repair and there was grass growing on the straw bails which airsoft had left scattered around, leading me to think that they no longer use it. The site now looks sad and more derelict that it ever has.
Climbing the rickityist ladder I've ever seen.
Shower block. I liked the shaft of light and was glad i could capture it.
The locker room.
Evidence of scaters.
In the distance through the trees we noticed another site. We had to wade through a river to get to it and found it to be the actual brik refactory complete with kilns. This led me to think that the original site we explored may have been something else. Possibly a steel works. What does anyone else think? Has anyone else been to this place?
Looking at the google image there appears to be more of the site as yet unvisited so a return trip will be made.
Let me know what you think and your theorys on whether this is two sites or one?
