Situated in a field in the middle of nowhere sits this amazing hidden gem.
History is scarce online, credit to Clebby and others for managing to find this - http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=49389.
Originally an eccentric home built in the 1980s by Colin Stokes to house sheep, it now lies unused.
It's hard to emphasize scale though these photos, but this is about 2 stories high.
Despite its huge size, it is very well hidden (google can't help you here!) and I needed help to find it (big thanks to tommo!). This at least means that it is in surprisingly good condition with just a few birds inhabiting it.
A humble entrance..
..reveals stunning interior detail..
..beautiful staircases..
..and lovely handpainted stained glass.
The work and attention to detail is pretty impressive!
"Here lie the mortal remains of Mrs. Bethia Barleycorn, goose of this parish - March to December 1989."
I think I could happily live here!
