One of those places I did not have high hopes for, but the pictures from other folks report had somethinga bout them... anyway I was totally wrong, this place was awesome!
The paper manufacturing side of the building has been stripped and raped by pikeys. But the support depts, manintenace. engineering, chippy, smithy, sparks and pipe fitter's shops were nothing short of amazing. Each were packed with century old drawings, paperowrk, equipment and all manner of ancient junk.
Wartime budget... note war damage insurance is 3 times the normal insurance
The mill's new powerhouse was featured in a 1931 issue of 'the poiwer engineer'.. a few pics of said powerhouse
