OK, lets let the credits out of the way first.
First and foremost, thanks to Alir147, for site info and access details.
Secondly, thanks to Zimbob for driving in what could only be described as "despicable" driving conditions!
Thanks to Aberdeenshire council for clearing their roads.
Up Yours Morayshire council for spraying 1 gram of grit per mile, on YOUR roads!
OK, no history, you all know it. If not there are lost of previous posts with the necessary info. On with the pics!
As all of my previous posts have been ex-military this is my first hospital. Also my first semi-stealthy explore!
Once inside this was the sight before us
There was something special about this place from the start
Was it the decay?
Was it the fact the doors were wide open?
Was it the fact that this identical building to the first had immaculate paintwork?
Fabulous urinal dividers in terrazzo!
Shadows
Broken glass
Lighting effects
Roof (or lack of!)
Glass
Decay
I could not put my finger on the appeal of this place, it was only when I was compiling ,my pics to post I realised that it had a post apocalyptic feel about it!
And of course, no trip would be complete without the "Creepy Kids"
Wind!
Water Boiler, looked brand new!
Our stealth was tested by broken crockery!
Toilets were spotless
Wooden floors were ruined by water
Venetian blinds
Spiral stair to projection room!
Symmetry (almost!)
"Sailing on the seven seas" (OMD)
A message fo the smokers?
More floor damage
Sorry for the quantity of pics, but there could have been hundreds more. This place is sooooooo photogenic. Time constraints prevented us staying longer (and we really could!)
Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I cannot stress the ENORMITY of this site. It really is huge. You need to visit for yourself to appreciate the size of it. Zimbob and I merely touched the tip of the iceberg!
