I can't find any early history of this hospital. There is a new type secure unit on site, and I believe the rest of the buildings were low-secure accommodation.

"The hospital provides inpatient services for mentally disordered offenders transferred from prisons and the courts and also for those patients who are found to be unmanageable in local psychiatric units."

The first building I went into was a childrens wing.
