While there's really not that much to see for the more experienced explorers, I must say I really enjoyed this one, due to it being so serene and peaceful, with most of the structures overgrowing in wildlife, a feature I always appreciate in derelict sites.

Brief History

Lion Brick-Works opened in 1875 and lies next to the bridge on the minerals line. Brick production stopped in 1930 and the works closed and so the site was later used during World War II as an ammo store by the MOD. A few years back there was granted planning permission for the place to turn into a caravan site but it was never completed and the site remains overgrown. There is still some sort of notice from the council stuck on the fence on the site mentioning something about planning development, but for now the site remains untouched.

Now for the photos!
