History - Llanmorlais Primary School was built in 1893. Was first known as Cwm-Cynor School until it’s name changed to Llanmorlais Primary School. The school closed during 2010 although there were protests from annoyed locals to try and keep the school open which failed. It was closed due to low pupil numbers and all pupils were relocated to Penclawdd Primary School.
Explore - went alone because it’s not very far from where I live. Found out about it when I was doing research for places in my area and found 2 other reports on the forum about it although there haven’t been any reports since 2016 so I wasn’t sure about access but wanted to give it a shot anyway.
There are 3 separate parts to the building, 2 demountable and the main building which all 3 currently have access and are pretty easy to spot.
Was in there for a good 45 minutes, it’s in a very quiet area next to a farm so I kept hearing things but I assumed it was the farm animals. At one point I heard people talking but I ignored it until I went to leave I noticed a car had parked up outside which wasn’t there when I first arrived. Not sure if they came because I was there or because they had something to do with the farm because nobody approached me but there are rumours that the owners don’t appreciate guests in the school.
