Manicomio (asylum) of Voghera - Italy - July 2022

Apparently-
"Opening in 1876, the Manicomio of Voghera was a place of horror for it's patients. The asylum closed in 1998 and is now in a state of decay."

This was the best of the 3 asylums I visited on this trip and gave me a real past vibe of those such as westpark etc in London.
The room with the EEG and piles of readings was impressive.
There were nice tunnels that clearly were connected to something live somewhere.
The newly vacated hairdresser etc etc.
Probably one of the main highlights of my trip.

Fab report. Images are very atmospheric. The items left make for creepy viewing. I found the sight of a baby cot & highchair a bit sad. And childrens bikes.

Superb mate, this does still look good despite clearly a lot of footfall.

We had a good walk around it and a climb in here and there but there were fresh terracotta block walls where normally there would have been nice doors.

Nice. Quite a few new bits I've not seen from there. Good to see it's not had the levels of fuckery that racconigi has experienced recently.
