Hello this was trip in Mellor I had heard of a old water tunnel in Mellor witch was about 300m long. I had to get special permission of the land owner before I could find the entrance.
Armed with my new camera I entered with my expert team (a couple of lads I managed to talk into it). The start of the tunnel was low and with a lot of water and when we got about 20minutes in it opened up into a small manmade cavern. We decided to push on and the water got really deep then the roof became low as we went under where a road. After we crawled for a while in the running water it opened up there was some points where the walls had caved in. We reached a small waterfall it was like the goonies I couldn’t believe we had gone so far we carried on until we saw light when we popped our heads out we were in someone’s garden with them ready to roast us but with a bit of sweet talk and a couple of jokes we were off. The whole time underground was about 50minutes.
