I'd not seen or taken any notice of any photos of this place, I didn't really know what to expect when the chance to visit presented itself. It was actually something pretty special, there once was a time when real unchavved derelict asylums were ten-a-penny, or at least on most people's doorstep. That time has gone, but being in this place brought it all back. Yeah it's pretty stripped, but what's there is old and unvandalised. Decay at it's green, mossy best.

I'd been a bit disillusioned with exploring having cracked some long awaited places, the top of the list was ticked and I didn't really feel it when I was back in more run of the mill places. Talgarth changed that, the old days were back and it was good.

If you like pure decay, reclaimed by nature, 70's furnishings and small cell type rooms you might like this too.
