This military base was one of many dotted around the province during the troubles. It closed several years ago and has lain vacant since. Due to its locale it has remained largely untouched.
Part of the procedure for closing military bases - especially over here, is the "sterilisation" whereby the installation is completly cleared of items and paperwork, this includes painting over signage!
