Report - Norton Tunnel and Leicester rooftops - February 2017

This one was really creepy as it was getting late and being in the woods in the darkness in an unknown area definitely spiked my already existing paranoid nature. As I stood outside and tried to take a decent picture of the entrance, the constant noises of the spooked pheasants and the added feeling of being watched really was an experience. In the actual tunnel I was almost ready to see someone running up behind me with an axe. I don't like darkness in areas I've never been to as you can tell. Especially in the middle of a steep, dense forest.

The tunnel houses some interesting farming equipment including an old tractor and a random bathtub.

The night ended with an obligatory roof climb.

It's East Norton tunnel

there used to be a big viaduct there too, but it was demolished around 15 years ago

It's an easy mistake to make, I've accidently called it Nocton Tunnel a couple a times.
The new title might make it easier for @stranton to find, rather than messaging me for access
