I know, I know. this forum get's flooded with reports on West Park. But such a photogenic and atmospheric location can surely never run out of photo ops. I've visited twice now with SiGarland1987 and the second visit was better than the first. We wandered the disused hallways and every corner we turned was a new discovery... I hadn't realised the sheer scale of the place on our first visit. The strangest part of the second visit was bumping into a guy taking his two kids up to the top of the tower, at least I hope they were his kids......
Anyway, on with the photos, a mixture from both visits:
One of many exterior Gazebos, probably the first part you'll find...
The Main hall...
Just over from the main hall...
Exploring further:
That's the main bulk really, the tower is well worth a visit just for the view at the top, you can see all the way out to central London and The Eye. Just be careful on the way down, I told my mate in front of me to be careful then immediately slipped down a few stairs like an idiot... comically waving my camera in the air in more fear of breaking that then my neck. I understand why this is such a popular location, it really is an awe inspiring place and full of atmosphere, well worth the visit.
