Found this roof with gabe, extreme_ironing and monkey near the river in London. It's currently a construction site for a new block of offices. Not especially high but proof that you don't necessarily need to go too high to get a good view of the London skyline. There's a few like this in the area at the moment, on with some pics.

Great photos there mate. As you saw, you don't need to get high to get the best views of London. these are stunning. :) Happy New Year to you too

Low roofs are the best. Whats the point being up in the clouds, theres nothing to look at...
