Little history is known on this Oxcroft, but it was a coal disposal point and closed in 2006.

Upon arrival, we were half expecting the place to properly fenced off. Only to find a was pretty much a walk on job and there didn't appear to be any security on site. So we parked further up the road and walked on, away from the main entrance just to be on the safe side.

After mooching around the outside of the buildings for a while, we tried to find an entry point that wouldn't include a ridiculously dangerous climb. This didn't take to long luckily ;)
Once inside this odd shaped complex of buildings, we worked out way from area to area, risking life and limb in places on some rather rotten wooden beams.
We had a good hour or so inside, before deciding we'd seen all Oxcroft had to offer.
