A club and 'venue for all occasions'. It was once formerly the Factory Club (later known as the Blue Circle Club) which was opened on 31 July 1878 and built at the expense of Thomas Bevan (architects Parr and Strong). It took three years to build at a cost of £ 11,000 and was built in honour of Bevan's eldest son, Robert's, coming of age. Before 1945, the club was open to all members of the public and was the cultural centre of Northfleet. Two halls, games room, sports facilities, a library and the headquarters of the Northfleet Choral Society plus numerous other local societies were all accommodated. Amongst various other features added over the years was a bowling green and an outdoor swimming pool that was opened in 1907.

Having already been there a couple nights before I decided to go back for some daylight pics entry was an easy walk in always a good start to an explore, although on entering we heard a hissing then realised one of the gas cylinders by the door was open slightly 😳 after shutting it off and waiting a few mins outside with the door open we ventured back inside we could feel airflow so wasn't worried about any gas buildup (on the second visit the cylinders were gone leading be to suspect metal thieves may be working the site most likely leaving them to empty before taking them away).
The inside bar area is pretty trashed smashed mirrors everywhere celing tiles missing the usual.

Such a nice building from inside, but a shame about the state of the inside - that auditorium is rather good though even with the ceiling and beams entirely collapsed into it.

I saw this was abandoned a few months ago, and thought about doing here. I was part of a pool team and the awards were held here each year during the late 90s and 2000s. So I had an interest in here. I loved the balcony, shame to see it like this. Nice insight though.
