Catullus and I were on our way home and we thought we'd stop by here to check it out. However, by the time we found access the light was failing, and before long it was dark and we had to call it a day. So a few days later, thanks to Eurotunnel's ridiculously cheap 20th birthday offer, I went back for a solo explore.
I have seen various reports about 15H where the travellers living on the site have been mentioned. I had absolutely no trouble from them at all. I was just stared at a bit whilst I pumped my tyre up, but they left me alone.
History:
This prison was built on the site of a Cistercian abbey and was converted into a prison with new sections built. It closed in October 2011.
