History
Lots of explorers seem to have found separate history on this location from an array of timelines so I'm gonna try and string it all together.
Prudential Assurance are a multinational life insurance and financial services company, founded in 1848. They are currently based in London.
The building was designed by Albert Waterhouse and then built in 1889. Prudential Assurance wanted a similar style to all their buildings so Waterhouse created a 'homely' styled structure that would feel welcoming to the public that would use their services.
Now from there, the building has hosted a variety of things. Obviosuly, it has been used by Prudential Assurance for the majority of it's period, but also for a period of time the basement nightclub Holy City Zoo (covered in a seperate report) and a child care service run by the council, Oldham Play Care Association.
Explore
There’s not a lot left intact inside the building, just the main entrance with the wooden carvings and stunning tiles. During our explore we came across a lot of needles, human waste as well as sleeping bags and duvets. After exploring most of the building, we got to a room on the top floor with a few people living in there, so we left to make sure we didn’t hassle or bother anyone

Some developer will just end up with the land, I can see it being demolished in the future, for now it will just rot as the Town is on it's arse and lacking money/investment. It's full of mongs wandering about in onesies now flitting between the dole office, ca$h converters and Spoons.

They used dynamite years ago when they blew up St Peters shopping centre, they could have done with using a bit more and bombing the entire lot of it :D

I'll never forget my visit here taking an American explorer and running into a group of five utterly wasted 14 year old girls and one boy inside. That was certainly a memorable experience.
