Hey guy, today I went to Purfleet to exsplore the industrial sites along the sea wall and was disapointed. We went to 3 sites; the first one was an abandoned dock. I'm not sure what it orignal purpose was and how old it was. The next next place as a old WW2 out post i believe. Their was a English electrics sticker that dated 1947. The last one was a bridge that connected the old paper mill to another site over the train tracks.

Site one, Abandoned Dock

Followed a path over some rotten wood for some heart stopping fun

One of the little building on the dock.

We found a ladder which took us under the dock, the whole thing was creaking and rusty as hell.

Pretty photo of some of the old electric system. some part of the dock were gated off. you could get round them but if you slip you'll have to swim back to shore.

A tunnel which went under the dock. it was full of pigeons and their poop so we didnt stay around for long.

Site Two, WW2 Station Dock

This was a conrete platform connected to the sea wall. It had a couple of little building and had been striped of almost all metal. not 100% sure on it original use.

Inside one of the buildings, people have been stripping cables for the copper here. (the thurrock way)

another building which a weird machine in it. looked pretty cool though.

great post! looks really cool. we actually tried going there today but they're is some kind of work going on there. we were in the area about 3 weeks before and there was no sign of any work so we just missed it. there was a security guard there who was friendly (his first day) and offered us coffee but said we're not allowed onto the actual site.

Not surprising as this is from 2013 but fair play for looking.
