Nice one m8ty and good to see ya back. Some good shots you grabbed from here ... See ya soon.
Very pretty <3
Awesome as usual Mr. Flux.
very good photographs & thread,
was nice revisiting but wasn't expecting 2 collapses.
Very nice, great pics fella
The price for repairing the tunnel is actually £2.8 million. This has been developed by a team of engineers and contractors who do a lot of work for Network Rail. "The powers that be" intend to spend about £3 million sealing it up, but they haven't decided how to do it yet so that figure is guesswork. If you download the new engineering report (available on the Queensbury Tunnel website), you'll see photos of ALL the major defects (not just the two collapses) and details of how they can be sorted out. The campaign group is actually being very open about the "true condition" of the tunnel.Update
According to the Queensbury Tunnel Action Group (who seem to have ignored any recent pictures of the Tunnel being on the Internet for all to see. Even though people have mentioned them on the Facebook etc pages) the extortionate price for re-opening the Tunnel of £35Million is @ 10x more than the newly estimated cost of £3.5Million (allegedly)
Which ironically is the same amount that was banded about for repairing and sealing the Tunnel up by the powers that be !
Why they are still showing pictures from circa 2012 with the Tunnel part flooded rather than the recent ones actually showing the extent of the collapse"s etc could be debatable> Anyone would think they don"t want the Public to know the true condition of the Tunnel
