Big thanks to @FKL770 who discovered the entrance to this place, I've walked down bold street thousands of times and always wondered what was in the upper floors of this building.

The impressive, art-deco building dominates the street and even back in it's Liverpool Gas Company days it was a community hub. With several showrooms and a lecture theatre it welcomed shoppers and school children to witness the latest in gas manufacturing. It also offered its many staff a great workplace, with roof gardens, tea-rooms and dining suites. The staff kitchen, fitted with all of the company's most cutting edge appliances, was accessible to the public.
Radiant House was at the centre of pioneering innovation in Liverpool, well ahead of its time in engineering, employee welfare and customer experience. That's a legacy that we strive to live up to.” - Radiant House Liverpool

Since the Liverpool Gas company’s occupancy there isn’t much history about what the building was used for. But it pretty much has been various retail establishments, there is reminiscence that it was once a Littlewoods department store, an Argos, along with various discount stores, then an organic food market. The current occupants are Albert's Schloss which are only occupying the ground floor, a small bakery also occupies the ground floor.

Also to mention it was great running into @UrbandonedTeam round the back of George Henry Lees who let us tag along with them for the day and came with us to see this little bit of Liverpool history, top lads.
