Built in 1939 It was originally planned to be built in Fairlight Hastings but the landowner was having none of it because he didnt like the idea of the aerial masts {to ugly}
RAF Pevensey was one of the original 20 Air Ministry Experimental Stations, Not long after being built it took a near miss from a german bomb which damaged the roof of the receiver block this can still be seen today.
