During the 1990's with the retirement of the Canberra, the reconnaissance role of RAF Wyton was deemed redundant and the station moved on to become a part of the logistics chain. This left the photographic factory redundant. It was sold off in 2002, and is not part of the main still live station.
It is a bad state now but there are still some nice things to be seen if you take the time to look past the dereliction.
