Report - St. Andrews Hospital, Bow London 19/10/06

Visited with The Riddlers, Tank, Zero and Zenie.

Fairly standard entrance, not deterred by the plywood overkill or the bumping into security after the first two minutes.

First to the roof for views of Canary Wharf and the City. Then an explore around this very well preserved hospital. I mean there's maybe a handful of broken bulbs and a few windows out.

There are lights on all over the place, and the hospital equipment is still in situ in a lot of wards...

So at this point I'm thinking that it's good, the same as last time I was here.

But then we stumbled across the Records Store. A whole ward full of patient records, admissions, death certificates, operation records, the lot. Another room had a dozen roll cages full of this as well.

My mum has been doing our family tree and my grandad had his varicose veins done in here back in the 1960's.

She remembers going to see him.

Proof if anything that 28DL is a great source of history
