Theirs been several attempts to "accidentally" burn the front building down.

Much of the front road facing building looks like this

We didn't bother with the front building because it's full of scaffolding. Did we miss much?

Only the Front is trashed. The back part has a couple of smaller rooms/wards that are intact (downstairs and up) and a little courtyard but pretty similar to the other buildings. Their were more "relics" and old cooker etc when I was there but nothing to write home about.

Nice report and the last pic at the end hehe. George Gilbert Scott also designed Kelham Hall not far from Lincoln. I can see why they want to keep it, there are not many workhouses left, apart from the Job centres. Its in a good state of decay which makes a good photo. Some developers just let buildings fall down or set them on fire. Its amasing its still standing after all those years.

I'm shocked there's anything left here at all to be honest. I can't believe people live in there too.
