"Are you ready?, don't forget your flask" chauffeur said to me midweek, so 5am this morning I arrived at his house to begin our trek down to St Mary's, now i was excited about seeing this place as its been on the list for ages, i was not disappointed, it ticked all the boxes!. After the bleary eyed drive we arrived in Stannington under cover of fog. Most of the wards have been stripped so we focused on finding the good bits like the morgue and i really wanted to climb the water tower. A 15 minute walk through the wettest woodland ever, welcome to St Marys asylum.
peeling heaven
water tower
snips hair salon
workshops
looks like one patient has been left behind
cellar staircase
corridors
main hall
controls in boiler room
rubber doors
into the chapel....
the echo in here is great...
and after nearly missing it, we find the morgue...
having a lie down...
finally... the dentist's chair.
thanks for looking.......bug
