Visited with Gone and Sho.

I won't go too much into the details and history of this place as it has been covered many, many times before. The place is pretty much as gutted as could be with new developments clearly taking place on the site and have been for some time. However in the far corner of the site, the morgue and the chapel remained and this was the main goal of the explore.

Opening on Christmas Day of 1841, the site was originally operating as a workhouse than later turned into an NHS operated hospital housing and treating the elderly and psychiatric. Originally named the Shaw Heath Hospital, this changed in time to what is now known as St Thomas' Hospital with the original buildings reaching Grade II Listed Buildings status and with this came a £100 million property development plan which is well under way. Apart from this, there is not much else except a few residential hounds and guards to accompany.
