Found this awesome sugar refinery by chance as I drove through this town on holiday. Stopped to take a couple of photos over the wall then noticed a gap in the fence round the side and went straight in. The whole time there were dogs barking nearby, although I couldn't see where they were, and some people watching from the other side of the fence. I didn't have any idea what Italian tresspass laws are or how hard Italian dogs bite so made a dash around some of the nearest buildings and got out but the place really deserved several hours. There were other buildings I didn't even get the chance to go inside, and it wasn't ideal as we were wearing flip-flops.
