I met up with ConcreteJungle and Mortaldecay in Nottingham and we headed down towards the outfall of the Beck Valley Culvert which was completed in 1884.
Apologies in advance for the photos which are a bit rough, especially the first one, as I only took my old camera on this explore.
With all the recent rain, we were a little concerned as to how deep the water at the outfall would be, but it wasn't as deep as we thought.
The approximate 1.5 mile trek up the culvert took a little while and although there weren't that many shape changes, there were some nice features and the whole thing was constructed of quality brickwork.
We finally got to the access chamber which led us up to the Curious Tower in St Mary's Rest Garden. It was a most enjoyable trip to a rarely explored drain!
