The Cube is a 23 storey tower, under construction, in Birmingham.

Designed by Ken Shuttleworth of MAKE Architects, the mixed use development will contain 135 flats, 111,500 ft² (10,360 m²) of offices, shops, a hotel and a 'skyline' restaurant. It is the final phase of The Mailbox

The Cube sits at 70.4 m (231 ft) high.

When finished it'll look something like this, but less cartoony.

A somewhat impromptu visit... but everyday at work I have to look across at it, teasing me, so after scores of recce trips, it was finally time.

This was a solo visit, but it couldn't have happened without the accumulative brains of a few people.

Each floor is still pretty much a concrete shell, with little interior in place. The majority of the wiring appears to be in though.

Cheeky Mailbox shot. If only security knew I was taking a photo of it. They hate that.
