History:

Three storey building with mock Tudor facade whose beautiful architecture has been left to ruin. This former Ansells pub with living accommodation, once known as The Coach and Horses, has been derelict several times including around June 2000 before it became The Kingsholme. Despite repeated efforts by the council nothing has yet been done to redevelop the site.

The former watering hole was on the market for some years but with a price tag in excess of £1m no buyer was ever found.

Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council was also poised to buy the building, under a compulsory purchase order, before scrapping that idea and then including it in its regeneration plans for the whole of the Upper Abbey Street area.

The place was set alight by vandals sometime after closing shown in the smoke and fire damage (not able to find anything in the news about it).
