This is my first report so be gentle with me.
The building is absolutely breathtaking as you first approach it, I feel it was the perfect place for my first exploration. After doing a bunch of research before the visit I made sure to wear an asbestos mask just to be on the safe side and took a couple of torches even though it was early afternoon when I arrived (they came in quite handy after all)
As I made my way round the whole building moaned and groaned, there was creaks and bangs all around me and I wondered whether this was the wind or whether other explorers where around, although I didn't see a soul until the very end when I encountered the notorious gate keeper Elwyn (who was extremely rude even though I was extremely polite and apologetic)
I apologise in advance for the pic heavy thread and my pictures have been edited as I wanted to give them a slightly eery feel to them.
here is some information I pulled from the wiki:
The North Wales Hospital (locally known as Denbigh Mental or Denbigh Asylum)[1] is a Grade II listed building. Designed by architect Thomas Full James, building started in 1844 and completed in 1848. Once a hospital for people with psychiatric illnesses, at its maximum capacity it could house 200 patients. It is located in Denbigh, Denbighshire, Wales.
