Located on Bury Road, this was later used for bingo, before its present use as a carpet warehouse. I could find out very little about it, but it seems to have gone over to bingo about 1968. The last entry for a battery check relates to 1977.
Enough of the interior remains to show that it was very basic, with a small balcony. The projection room was used to house the secondary lighting battery during its bingo phase, then shut up and left to the pigeons! The motor room was directly below the projection room, but only 4 and a half feet high!
Proscenium, note roof girders
Balcony rear screen, thrown down the stairs
Projection room
Escape manhole
Down the hole
Mirror decoration
Motor room
