I have made a few visits here with the first being in 2015. I went again last year with man gone wrong and more recently as was passing so had a look in. It just deteriorates more and more each time I go. This time I noticed some of the woodwork from the roof had fallen in, and there was some lovely dividing doors on each wall, and the big one had fallen off on the ground. The whole wooden frame above the doors is now hanging precariously.
The school was opened opposite the church in 1866 after a part of the church was used for schooling the village children. The school had a house built next to it for the head teacher. But a new house was built away from the school in 1927 so the school cleaner took over the occupation of the house. The school had space for a hundred and forty pupils with an average of 110 attending. It opened originally as a church school but could not get the funds to expand. So it was handed to a school board which was formed in 1879. In 1933 the school transferred pupils to a nearby school and by 1949 it had decreased to 72. I am not sure when the school stopped teaching but newspaper reports say it's been laying derelict for thirty years. So maybe after being a school it became used for something else.

Heading into the house. A set of stairs leads you upstairs. But these are all collapsed at the the top and holes in them. But a little careful manouvering you can get up top.

Outside is a sepearate block which would be the toilets, maybe a shower block as well with urinals to the side.
