Visited this with my two usual friends man gone wrong and Janovitch. A very enjoyable wander of this very old station. Looking back I wished I had got more photos and had a better camera. Butpent ages just having a nose around the whole building and its contents. A lot of it was stripped out but what was left was nice. Was a bit of a sensitive one at the time I guessed so sat on it for quite a while.
Construction of the A station began in 1951 when after the nationisation of the industry plans were afoot from 1948. It operated for twenty five years then was mothballed, whilst the B station carried on. A lot of the A staton was demolished in 1999 including the turbine hall sadly. Surprisingly though a lot was left including the original control panel. The last of the station along with the B station was finally all fully demolished by 2019.

Very nice piece of industrial Thames heritage indeed that, sorry to have missed it being somewhat local (although thankfully not too local ;) )

Cheers, Here it is so far - a work in progress, but Tilbury in centre position (I was pretty obsessed with this place). I just wish I could have one of those desks that were there

That study is so nice. The pic looks lovely on the wall, and I really like the scales and butterflies
That video ha ha. That's good and I as not expecting that and six of you :D at least there was no clickbait.

Another nice back cat. A great explore, the control room always the main attraction, but I like the fact its decaying all over and peely goodness everywhere.
