Explored with Dweeb.
Well, I was far to late for this place. Totally ruined by pikeys, who were still at work all around us. When we were leaving we had to do a slightly funny and slightly worrying exit straight past them.
Not too much to say apart from that. Too see what it used to be like a few months ago, see Speeds report here... http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/forums...-mill-spodden-valley-rochdale-nov-2012-a.html
The gates, completely destroyed...
Surprisingly, the chain holding the gates together is still intact, the whole brick pillar has come down.
The first view of this massive place, one of the largest industrial places I've ever seen...
Inside a couple of the large sheds, these seem relatively untouched, although empty...
Filtration equipment...
The real carnage was on the glass-roofed sheds. Every window was lined with lead and no amount of damage has been spared to remove it...
and the resulting glass on the floor below...
It makes you wonder, here we are creeping around the place for fear of getting caught, meanwhile the building is being destroyed 18 hours a day every day.
