This well documented 1800s Roman Catholic Seminary has always been one of my favourite urbex sites purely due to its amazing architecture and is always worth a revisit, following the taking over of part of the site by Durham Business School i decided on a return to see what developments there have been..
Following the usual comical entry and chat with the ever-expanding selection of guard ponies we were greeted with a still photogenic and character filled ushaw - although somewhat worse for metal thieves with a lot more dodgy missing floorboards than normal. For the first time in many visits the chapel was actually padlocked shut too - a glimpse through the gap reveals a sorrowful mess where some idiots have decided to smash up the alter pews and statues - no need really
This had the added effect of venturing into other parts in search of interesting images whereas normally a lot of time is spent in the chapel , so a good thing in a way, anyway heres the old girl in present state..
